What wil happen in the January 2019 Premier League transfer window?

It has come around quickly but already the January 2019 transfer window has hit the Premier League. While there will always be debate as to how much sense it makes and whether any truly decent players can be signed, it is always exciting.

But what rumours and gossip are there leading up to its imminent closure? We take a look at what may happen:

Idrissa 'Gana' Gueye - this is one player that there is a lot of speculation around right now. With his current team Everton being as much use as an open toed welly, PSG have made strong moves to tempt him to France. An initial bid of round £20 million is said to have bee rejected by Everton but it looks likely an increase in the price will be enough to get him. The player has made noises about wanting to leave so it may only be a matter of time.

Hazard chose the wrong time to freeze

Eden Hazard - surely Chelsea wouldn't sell their star man - or would they? Rumours grow of him leaving for a top European team and manager Sarri has even said it would be ok with him. This seems odd as Hazard is still their best attacking player and possesses true match-winning ability. However, many do think he will be heading out of the Bridge this January.

Youri Tielemens - this has not been officially announced as yet but many think it is a done deal to bring Tielemens to Leicester. It is thought that flop Adrien Silva is going the other way as part of any deal. If true, this would be a great coup for Leicester and they would be getting a player of great talent and potential.

Denis Suarez - this one has been rumbling on for a bit but it looks like Suarez to Arsenal from Barca is pretty much done. Goodbye Lionel Messi, hello Alex Iwobi indeed! Arsenal have done well if this comes of though as Suarez is a very quick, skilful player who will give them an added threat.

Anthony Limbomba - Newcastle manager Rafa the Gaffer Benitez has been moaning on as usual recently. This  time it is about not having any money to sign players so this news should please him. The hot news is that highly rated Nantes player Limbombs is on his way to St James Park. With Miguel Almiron already in the bag, this could be a good window for the Geordie club.
