Mourinho wins it for Manchester

Jose Mourinho
Is it ok to call him the Special One again?

There were wild celebrations in Stockholm last night as Manchester United won the Europa league - and not just from the woman whose husband had unfurled a banner promising her to Zlatan Ibrahimovich!

A strong rearguard action following taking a 2-0 lead saw the Red Devils hang on to win the trophy. A lucky deflected effort from Paul Pogba and a neat finish in the box from Mkhitaryan saw them edge in front and to be honest they never looked in trouble.

After the terrible recent events in Manchester, this really was a victory for the people of the city and something the team in Sweden could do to help. It marks a good end to a somewhat turbulent season for Mourinho and with a couple of trophies under his belt as United manager, it could be the start of a new dynasty for the club.

Even Fellaini played well

With the Europa success leading into the Champions League next season, Mourinho has pulled off a masterstroke and is now in a strong position. I think we can expect a bit of a clearout over summer and some big name arrivals such as Grizemann coming in the other way.
