Modeste happy at Koln

It is the start of Karneval season in Cologne, but that is not the only reason why the city is celebrating.

Fired by the 11 goals of the German top flight's joint-leading marksman Anthony Modeste, Koln have made a flying start to the 2016/17 campaign and currently occupy sixth place in the Bundesliga standings

Ja Heinz I have scored ze goal
The striker has been in amazing form for his club of late and his goals are one of the main reasons they are where they are. If he keeps it up then they should be favourites to stay in and around sixth overall come the end of the season.

There have however been question marks around his winter form when he can sometimes go on a barren run goalwise. So I guess the challenge now is to make this season different and keep the goals flowing all the way through the campaign.

Judging from his form it seems obvious he's happy with where he's playing and his teammates which is always nice to see. They seem to be a close knit group with a great spirit among them and that counts a lot to having a good season.

Next up is a big derby game so we'll see if he carries on as he has been doing or I've jinxed him!

Don't you think you're a bit old to be wearing your hat backwards?
