Joey Barton returns to the fold

I know I promised the delights of Italy, France etc... so my first real post being about Scotland is a bit of a departure. But can there be a less riveting story across Europe at the moment than the Joey Barton/Rangers saga?

Don't worry, coming to Rangers will work out fine

Reports in recently indicate that the player has finally been allowed to return to the club & training, following weeks of being banned. Unconfirmed reports however suggest that he is not training with the first team but the reserves which don't make it quite the comeback it sounds.

To be honest I like Joey Barton so hope it works out for him - I think in an age of PR friendly robots, he at least is his own man and says what he thinks. Still not sure about his French accent though!

The one massive mystery over this whole affair for me is - what exactly was said during the original training ground bust up with his manager & Andy Halliday? There's training ground rows every single day in most clubs and the language will always be fairly industrial so to be sent away for so long for what is described as a 'training ground bust up' makes you wonder. Would love to know but I think it's something that will never come out. Maybe he said he thought Burns was overrated as a poet and Kenny Dalglish played like his nan?!

Dalglish bemused the opposition with his pace and nose hair
